stereo total were incredible for the sixth time. shall i discuss the
kids with giant sunglasses who, displaying perhaps the least sincere show of
enthusiasm ever, so exaggeratedly starstruck, only managed to seem so much more
into themselves than anything else? how about the guy that kept backing
his ass into my crotch every time he leaned down to whisper in his girlfriend's
ear... till i decided to just give up my nice clear view near the front and
retreat to a place near a friend, further away from the stage? no, i'd
rather write about how franoise seemed so much younger and healthier-looking
this time. how brezel understands exactly how much
rockstar posture he can afford to show off on such a small stage... not too
much, not too little, but just the right amount. how stereo total did
totally succeed as a duo, but i still wish they'd brought angie along (or even
olga from the pop
tarts, who played with them on the second tour). how brezel did not
grab my ass, not even a little bit. how i never get tired of their
gimmicky "big finishes" in which they hammer the end of every song
into the floor and try to fake the audience out & make them clap at all the
wrong times. how i knew they'd cover "comme d'habitude" (because
of benno,
of course) and couldn't help but smile when they did. how they did about
forty-seven encores, and really couldn't stop any earlier because the show has
to end with the song where they bring people up from the audience to dance with
them. party mystere, party taboo!!
in other news, ebm and i are having a diet contest.
i can never remember whether i'm 5'9" or 5'10". i should get measured sometime.
the other day i got onto the scale for the first time in a year. not that i even know what my ideal height-to-weight ratio is supposed to be, but 160 pounds sound like
too many, to me. so... first one to drop twenty pounds without having anything amputated is the winner.
i guess i'd better cancel the appointment i have tomorrow for decapitation.
it's a lazy, rainy morning.
